You're probably wondering what this blog is about, and why you should read anything here coming from me.
Well, let's ask questions one by one.
Who am I
Hi again, I'm Darko. Nice to meet you. 🙂
I've been in affiliate marketing for some time, because one of the things I've always wanted to solve is the problem of "there's never enough time and money". Especially this late in life (I'm close to retirement), when energy starts to disolve slowly and the spirit begins losing its strength to follow new ideas.
Like anyone else (ok, most of us who weren't born rich...), I've tried to solve this problem for years - decades, really. While going to work every day, trying to do my best for the family, there was little time left to experiment. And one thing I definitelly learned is that doing more does not neccessarily mean having more. At least not in a meaningful way, which means having enough to have plenty of time for what I actually love doing. Whenever I worked more, I ended up having even less time for family and hobbies.
I have two sons and two daughters, by the way, so there's been plenty to do. They're all grown up now.
What I've been doing in life
I've studied electrical engineering (electronics, to be precise), but as life turned, I've never really worked in that area. Around the time of my diploma, computers came - and I was hooked for life. I've worked in various software departments, only to end up as a hardware engineer, working on specialty printers. I've been doing this for the last 20 years and I've enjoyed most of it.
How I learned about affiliate marketing
Well - like most affiliate marketers - I've bought a tool years ago that I found online that promised exactly what I needed at the time. Next day I started getting emails from someone I've never heard about. I've managed to connect the dots and started exploring what happened - and was completelly blown away.
Suddenly, I saw a huge opportunity for myself. That's just about it.
Why I've created the Affiliate Launch Labs website
I've spent thousands in the last couple of years trying to get the right product. You know, the one that would make me rich with a few minutes of work daily. Just like most sales pages say, right? But to my surprise, none worked.
I was completelly baffled about it.
It took me a few years to realize that the whole affiliate marketing thing has to be run differently than what I expected. I'm talking more about this here.
I've made lots of mistakes on the way, and I'll try to describe them in various posts. Maybe you can do better and avoid at least some of them, because they can cost a lot in both time and money.
So yes, I'm no guru and I have no intention of claiming otherwise. I'm just an average guy who still sees an enormous opportunity to earn online and make a decent living with it.
